On August 10, the 16th FINA World Masters Championships opening ceremony took place on the main stage of the FINA Water World Park.

On July 24-August 9 Kazan is hosting the 16th FINA World Championships. It’s the first time FINA World Championships is held in Russia.

The World Fencing Championships 2015 started in Moscow “Olimpyiski” sports arena on July 13 under the auspices of the Fencing International Federation.

On June 20 and 21, Russia’s Cheboksary hosted the VI European Team Championships which took place for the first time in Russia. Cheboksary’s Olympic Sports Arena was selected as the main venue for the athletic competitions.
