Victory Day in Russia

On May 10, a gala of the New Star All-Russian Singing Competition took place at the Atrium of the Russian National Defense Management Center.

On May 9, the Victory Day march took place in the central streets of Krasnoyarsk celebrating the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

On May 9, on the square in front of Kazan Arena the Kazan residents celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. They took part in a large-scale flash mob, where anyone could sing war songs. The lyrics appeared the media façade of the stadium.

On May 9, BST channel aired the Victory Parade and the Immortal Regiment march in Ufa live as a part of the special edition dedicated to the 70^th Victory anniversary. Panorama Ufa provided live coverage of the event.

Military hardware from the Battle Glory of the Urals Museum participated in the Victory Day march in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk Oblast. Many pieces of equipment had to be restored specifically for the parade.

Rostov-on-Don was the only Russian city where frontline fighters and workers of the rear marched as a united column on Victory Day.

On May 8, and 9, Russian popstars were performing wartime songs for veterans on Poklonnaya Hill, Moscow as a part of Avtoradio’s Victory festival.

On May 9, Panorama Khabarovsk produced TV coverage of the Eastern Military District parade dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the victory in the WWII. The parade took place on the city’s central Lenin Square.

On May 8, war veterans and home front workers enjoyed a special concert dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
