Biathlon

Biathlon is a winter sport that combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting.  The key event in the sport’s calendar is the Biathlon World Cup (BWC), which is a multi-race tournament that takes place over several months. The current season started on 30 November 2014 in Sweden, and ended with events between 19 and 22 March 2015 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

Yugra TV and Panorama co-worked on the international TV broadcast of the 2014–15 Biathlon World Cup - World Cup 9 which took place in Khanty-Mansiysk on March 19-22.

Khanty-Mansiysk hosts again a stage of the 2012-2013 Biathlon World Cup. The first of the total of 9 stages kicked off in Östersund (Switzerland) on November 24, 2012.

The 8^th stage of the Biathlon World Cup completed at Sochi’s Laura Biathlon & Ski Complex on March 10 as part of the trial competitions hosted by the city’s newly erected Olympic facilities.

This was the thirteenth sporting event covered by Panorama as the host broadcaster, producing international broadcasts in HD.

On March 7-10 the 8^th stage of the Biathlon World Cup takes place in Sochi (at the "Laura" Cross-country Ski and Biathlon Center).

On September 19, Ufa’s Biathlon sports facility hosted the opening ceremony of the Summer Biathlon World Cup.

An ANO Sports Broadcasting team has arrived in Ufa, capital city of Bashkortostan Republic, to check on the preparations for the upcoming Summer Biathlon World Championship, which will kick off in Ufa on September 18th and last for five days.

On August 18, Yekaterinburg hosted a spectacular sports event on its main square, featuring top Russian biathlon athletes competing in what was called the Biathlon’s Stars Race.

On March 16-18, the Panorama camera crew provided technical support in broadcasting the final stage of the 2012 Biathlon World Cup. The crew used a 10-camera HD//1 OB van that had arrived in Khanty-Mansiysk from a Panorama branch in Yekaterinburg.
